Royal Caribbean and Sandals Are Teaming Up in a $3 Billion Deal
/Big news in the Caribbean travel world! Royal Caribbean Group has agreed to buy a 50% stake in Sandals and Beaches Resorts for about $3 billion, in a deal announced September 23rd. It’s the cruise giant’s first move into all-inclusive resorts, bringing together two of the biggest names in Caribbean vacations — the company behind Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea, and the beloved resort brand famous for butler service and overwater villas. Sandals’ Adam Stewart stays on as executive chairman, and the resorts keep running with the same “Luxury Included” experience guests love. The deal is expected to close in early 2027.
What does it mean for you? Expect even more ways to pair a cruise with a resort stay — the two halves of a Caribbean vacation, finally under one roof.
